COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Last update on 18 December 2023

Pronety is an online community of intelligent and experienced professionals sharing their expert knowledge and insights with the public on subjects that concern them and supporting members where they need it the most by answering their questions.

We ask that all participants on the Pronety platform adhere to the following community guidelines to ensure a safe and trusted experience by anyone accessing our website and using our services.

TO ALL MEMBERS

Inappropriate content

Be civil and respectful in all your interactions. Do not engage in name-calling, threats, harassment, bullying. Do not post content with racial, religious or other remarks that may incite hatred or discrimination against individuals and groups because of their age, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion or disability. Do not post or give links to advertising, promotional material, referrals, solicitations, spam or fake content in any of your postings or interactions on the website.

TO PROFESSIONALS

Self promotion

You are strongly encouraged to share information about your profile, experience, expertise, the services that you offer and your contact details so that prospective clients may learn about you and reach you. This should be done only on your account profile page.

Do not add contact details like address, email, telephone or link to your website and do not directly solicit clients on your postings including articles, answers and comments. The content of your postings should always remain non-commercial in tone as people reading them are not looking for a sales pitch. Moreover, a link to your profile is always displayed next to each of your postings so readers may easily learn about you and contact you if they so wish.

The recommended way to attract positive attention to yourself and your business is by frequently contributing valuable content, like articles, and by answering questions on subjects relevant to your expertise.

Trust

Use your true identity and provide accurate information about yourself including your qualifications, experience, expertise, achievements, and about your business and the services that you offer.

Do not post information that you think may be misleading or inaccurate including misinformation or disinformation.

Do not endorse other professionals in exchange for personal benefits including family relationship, monetary payment, free or discounted product or service.

Follow the law and the rights of others

You must comply with all applicable laws including privacy and intellectual property rights laws, when posting content like articles and answers and through your interactions.

Moreover, you must respect the privacy and the intellectual property rights of others including copyrights, patents, trademarks and other proprietary rights when posting content like articles and answers and through your interactions.

Report content that you feel violates the community guidelines

If you come across content, behaviours or profiles that you believe are inappropriate or in any way violate the Community Guidelines, please report to us via our Reporting tool (flag) which is next to the content or member’s profile page.

Violation of community guidelines

Depending on the severity of the violation we reserve the right to temporarily limit visibility or entirely remove any content that does not follow the community guidelines or that significantly affects our users experience. In the event of severe or repeated violations we may temporarily suspend or permanently remove the member’s account.
